Access Databases

An Access database is an excellent ‘next step’ when your data has outgrown the capacity of Excel, or when you need multiple users to easily view and edit data simultaneously.

Access databases are very flexible, and can be readily amended to meet changing business needs.  A large amount of data can be stored, however, when the data volume exceeds the capacity of Access, the database can be easily converted to a SQL Server database.

With 15+ years of developing Access databases for businesses of various sizes and across many industries, Rightcoast IT can develop a custom database from scratch, or add functionality to an existing database.

Excel Spreadsheets

Are your Excel files becoming difficult to maintain?  Are there repetetive, time-involved tasks that put data quality at risk?

When there is a need to get more from your spreadsheets, that moment when you think ‘there must be a better way’ – that is where VBA automation can help.  VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is the programming language that underlies all of MS Office.

Rightcoast IT has extensive experience in Excel and VBA, and we have the skills to automate repetitive manual processes, which saves time and reduces the risk of error.

Word, Outlook and Powerpoint

Because they share a common programming language, all MS Office programs can easily interact with each other.  For example, at the click of a button in an Access database, a Word document can be created with certain data pre-filled, and that document can be attached to an Outlook e-mail. Forms can be created in Word which control where users can make edits and dropdowns can be added which restrict choices – this can improve both accuracy and appearance.
